Former undisputed bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue explained why he is not worried about stepping up a weight class against unified super bantamweight champion Stephen Fulton.

The pair fight on July 25 in Japan, and Inoue has the opportunity to add four more pounds to reach the limit of 122 lbs after dominating at 118.

“I have absolutely nothing to be anxious about,” Inoue said, reported BoxingScene.com.

“As the challenger for the first time in a while, I’m as fired up as I’ve ever been.”

Inoue is attempting to match Kazuto Ioka’s record, who was the first Japanese fighter to win world titles in four weight classes.

Inoue thinks he is well suited to moving up in weight class.

“My work is going well,” he explained. “I’m handling the preparations. I am thinking super bantam is the best weight for me.”
