Naoya Inoue is now a two-time undisputed champion.

Naoya Inoue made history on Tuesday morning after a 10th-round stoppage of Marlon Tapales in their undisputed super bantamweight title fight.

The 'Monster' is now the first undisputed super bantamweight champion and the second fighter to be undisputed champion in multiple weight classes. Inoue is also now 26-0.

In front of a sold-out crowd at Ariake Arena, Inoue started ferociously. A flurry of stinging combinations and fierce body shots helped Inoue fly out of the traps.

In the first two rounds, Inoue landed 34% of his punches and landed 47% of his power shots, per CompuBox . The 30-year-old dropped Tapales in round four, and the end seemed near.

Tapales fought back following the knockdown, and the fight became much more competitive. However, Inoue's intensity and hard work were too much for Tapales.

A fierce shot to the body fell Tapales in round ten, and he could not beat the count. The win strengthens Inoue's legacy as one of the great modern fighters and is arguably the number one pound-for-pound fighter in the world.
