Naoya Inoue has confirmed plans to fight in Las Vegas in the first half of 2025, with further bouts to come in Saudi Arabia this year too.

The Japanese star took his professional record to 29-0 with a fourth-round knockout against Kim Ye-joon at Tokyo's Ariake Arena on Friday.

Inoue, a two-weight undisputed champion, further underlined his credentials at super-bantamweight in the encounter, and is now looking forward.

Having last fought abroad in June 2021, 'The Monster' looks set to end a long-time hiatus from international boxing in style this coming year.

"Yes, 2025 will be a big year for me to go to overseas countries to have a fight," Inoue said afterwards through a translator.

"In [the] spring of 2025 I will be going to Las Vegas to show you the great match. I am planning to have fights in Las Vegas and Saudi Arabia this year.

"I don’t know how complete I am as a boxer. I want to keep training so that I can keep improving until the end of my career."

Inoue, who has seen off most major challengers across his career, was due to face Sam Goodman before injury ruled the Australian out of their bout.

He seems likely set to face Mexican Alan Picasso in a mandatory WBC defence if he indeed heads to Vegas for his next encounter.

Murodjon Akhmadaliev is another name long linked to a clash, and a potential clash under Riyadh Season could materialise as another option.
