Despite mixed results in his first two boxing matches, UFC legend Nate Diaz is aiming high for his next opponent in the squared circle.
Diaz lost by unanimous decision to Jake Paul in his boxing debut last year and followed that up with a majority decision victory over fellow MMA star Jorge Masvidal in July, and now the 39-year-old has his sights set on a boxing match against Terence Crawford.
And after taking on the four-weight champion, Diaz wants to run it back in MMA against Conor McGregor.
Posting to X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, Diaz showed off a trimmed down physique along with the caption "I Box Crawford and fight conor next 168 lfg."
Diaz appears to have inserted himself into the narrrative surrounding McGregor and Crawford, who have discussed meeting in the boxing ring and MMA cage. Crawford admitted to turning down McGregor's initial proposal for a two-fight crossover deal, although the pound-for-pound great seemed to have second thoughts when McGregor posted a nine-figure offer to social media.
McGregor and Diaz fought twice in the UFC in 2016, with each man claiming a victory. As for Crawford, he appears to have no history with Diaz despite the former MMA star's latest post.
