Eddie Hearn concerned ahead of Dillian Whyte vs Otto Wallin: ‘Not a good thing for the heart rate’DAZN
The Matchroom promoter told the DAZN Boxing Show is worried that Dillian Whyte is risking his interim belt once again.

Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn is worried over Dillian Whyte’s upcoming fight with Otto Wallin.

The WBC interim champion wants a title fight of his own but with Tyson Fury occupied with Deontay Wilder and then perhaps Anthony Joshua, he faces the WBC champion’s former opponent.

Speaking to the DAZN Boxing Show, Hearn is on edge about Whyte risking his interim belt having already lost it once in an upset to Alexander Povetkin.

“It's a good thing for the fans. Not a good thing for the heart rate,” he admitted.

“I've got to take my hat off to Dillian White. You know, we looked at a number of fighters, a number of options, there was Jermaine Franklin. You know, there was Chris Arreola, there was Marco Huck that was ordered for the EBU title.

“And I spoke to Demetrius Salita about Otto Wallin and I thought I loved the fight, but I'm going to take it to Dillian. And Dillian was like, ‘I love that fight. Let's do it.’

“Well, it's just a kind of fight you don't really look to take as a voluntary defence of an interim title. So massive props to Dillian White, a really big important heavyweight fight, October 30, back at the O2, and I can't wait.”
