Evander Holyfield still wants a trilogy rematch with Mike Tyson despite a one-sided defeat to Vitor Belfort.
The former UFC champion needed less than three minutes to stop Holyfield, who struggled to land a punch or dodge his opponent’s efforts.
Despite the state of his performance, and Mike Tyson’s relatively impressive performance in his own comeback against Roy Jones Jr, Holyfield wants a third fight.
After the fight, The 58-year-old praised Belfort, saying: “The guy pushed me, the guy is strong.
“But I wasn’t hurt. There wasn’t no shot that hurt me real bad. He got me with a shot and I was off-balance. I’m not hurt. It’s kind of sad.
“I think it was a bad call, he shouldn’t have stopped the fight that quick.”
Of whether he would still entertain a fight with Tyson, he said: “Of course I would.”
Holyfield defeated Tyson twice in the 1990s, stopping Tyson in November 1996, and then won when Tyson bit his ear in summer the following year.
