Alex Krassyuk has heaped praise on Eddie Hearn and Anthony Joshua as he reflects on dealing with the pair during current negotiations with Tyson Fury’s team.
Krassyuk has spent a prolonged period locked in talks with the WBC heavyweight champion’s team as he looks to nail down a date for Oleksandr Usyk, his fighter, to challenge Fury.
Despite weeks of back-and-forth talks, confirmation of the bout appears to be some way off as hopes of an undisputed heavyweight title battle fade.
Krassyuk is no stranger to securing huge fights for Usyk following two superb clashes with Joshua, and he’s paid tribute to Matchroom for the way they handle their business.
“It’s been a nightmare,” said Krassyuk regarding the lengthy Fury negotiations when speaking to iD Boxing.
“With Eddie, we did some sort of job. We had three fights as co-promoters, then the two fights with ‘AJ.’ So, we had five fights together.
“According to my experience, I need to give credit to Matchroom and Eddie, because I enjoy watching how they work. I like it.
“The negotiations never last long. It’s transparent, it’s open if we accept it, we accept it, if we don’t want to do it, we don’t do it. There’s no wasting each other’s time. With ‘AJ,’ it wasn’t really complicated. No stress.”
