Between October's announcement press conference to fight week, no one has seen or heard from Oleksandr Usyk or Tyson Fury. Save for a few social media posts from each camp, the heavyweight pair have deliberately locked themselves away from the world as they prepare for the biggest and most important fight of their lives.
Fury, in particular, has been conspicuous by his absence. Not one media interview, not one journalist or even family member invited into his Malta training camp. He even revealed this week that phones were banned from the gym and he had not spoken to his wife Paris or children in three months.
He has continued his moody, focused, non-talkative approach this week, as he promises to bring pain and hurt to the Ukrainian's world.
It appears he is taking a leaf out of Usyk's book. The unified world champion has always been an enigma, always keeping the world guessing as to what he will do next, in or out of the ring.
Getting into his training camps to get a rare glimpse into his preparations is notoriously difficult. Again, apart from selected social media snippets normally of Usyk dancing or performing a remarkable athletic skill, getting an understanding of Usyk's preparation is almost impossible, as we all search for answers to what makes this person such an incredible sportsman.
One man that was granted a rare visit to the Usyk training camp in Gandia, Spain, was legendary commentator Adam Smith, who will be calling the fight on DAZN Pay-Per-View on Saturday night.
Smith has known both fighters for years, following Usyk's impressive rise from amateur, through the weight classes, to become boxing's heavyweight king, remaining unbeaten throughout.
So, who better to explain what Usyk is really like and what sets him apart from seemingly every other fighter, no matter how good, how dedicated or how professional they are.

Smith explained to DAZN News: "Oleksandr told me, it is one per cent talent, 99 per cent dedication. That is what makes him different, that level of dedication.
"It is extraordinary to be around him. He is just a tremendous athlete, an athlete I've never seen before.
"If you look at a Vasiliy Lomachenko or Floyd Mayweather Jr, or other fighters of that type. They have incredible feet, they have the rhythm and the acrobatic base. But they are smaller and lighter.
"Usyk has all of that to the same level, but with the extra size and weight. His balance is wonderful. His footwork, his rhythm , his coordination are another level.
"In training he just works and works and works. He does it at breakfast, at lunch, at dinner. He never stops.
"Then in the ring he makes things so difficult for his opponent. It is how draining he makes it in the ring that no one can cope with.
"Being in the training camp and watching his team, no stone is left unturned. Nothing has not been thought about or planned for. They think and train for everything. They are so professional.
"If Tyson Fury does beat him on Saturday night it will come down to him putting in a better performance, not because Usyk and his team have not prepared right, or a lack of fitness or discipline, lack of ambition, want, knowledge, or IQ.
How to solve a problem like Usyk?
Usyk needed all of that to come out victorious in the duo's original epic contest in May, becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world by the slimmest of split decision margins.
Fury knows he can be better this time around and his preparations have clearly been much improved this time around, avoiding injuries, cuts and distractions.
That could be enough alone to reverse the result in fight two. But then he would have to do something no one else has seemed to get close to doing for years, actually beating Usyk.
Smith added: "Usyk is a massive problem to solve. He always finds a way to win. No other fighter has ever worked that problem out, can Tyson?
"Tyson has to use the massive advantages he has in the right way. If he does that and sustains that for as long as he needs to, then he can do it.
"But he needs to be at it every second of every round. He can't play around, he can't let Usyk get to him.
"Tyson cannot out box him for 12 rounds. He has to do something different. It is all about Tyson and what he does. I think Usyk will do the same as the first fight.
"I think it could be an even better fight than the first. But I do think one thing, if Usyk does hurt Fury again, he won't let him off the hook.
"He looks to have more power in those shoulders and he is looking for a knockout this time. But then again, so are Tyson and SugarHill [Fury's trainer]. So it could go either way.
"It will be a fabulous fight. This is what boxing is all about at the highest level and there is nothing else like it."
