A number of countries have been touted as potential venues for the world heavyweight title rematch.

Anthony Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Joshua for the unified world heavyweight champion could take place in the UK.

Usyk beat Joshua on points last September to claim the WBA, WBO and IBF world title belts.

Saudi Arabia had been suggested as a possible venue by Usyk's promoter Alexander Krassyuk, but when speaking to BBC Sport, Hearn suggested the UK could stage the much anticipated rematch and said a decision will have been made within the next two weeks.

"We're in final negotiations for a couple of sites for either the end of June or early-to-mid-July," Hearn began.

"I reckon within two weeks we'll have some news in terms of where that's going to be.

"An option is in the UK. The difference is, we don't really need negotiations with a venue in the UK, we just book it."

The rematch between Usyk and Joshua was originally set for May, but got delayed after Usyk enlisted in Ukraine's military following Russia's invasion of the country two months ago.

Usyk then left his native Ukraine on March 23 to start preparing for the second fight with Joshua.
