Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury 2 - Former Ricky Hatton rival has his say on major heavyweight title clash

Paulie Malignaggi is the latest voice on boxing to deliver his verdict on the fast-approaching heavyweight title fight that takes place next month.

On December 21, live on DAZN , Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury will collide for a second time as the former defends his world titles.

Back in May, Usyk overcame a tough start against the British fighter to take over in the second round as he gave Fury a standing count in the ninth session.

That round was enough to switch the fight into Usyk’s favour and he was declared a winner on the scorecards via split decision.

In the immediate aftermath, it was speculated that Fury may require a rest, but the former world champion took advantage of a rematch clause, and he goes in with the Ukrainian straightaway.

Malignaggi, a former two-weight world champion, believes Fury could make some changes to his approach as the sequels gets closer.

“I think Fury could make some adjustments like he did against Wilder where he went from the first to the second fight a boxer on the backfoot to a physical guy on the front foot because he was so much bigger,” said Malignaggi when speaking to ProBox TV .

“Usyk is not going to go as quietly as Wilder did.”
