Oscar De La Hoya has appeared to tease a return to the ring, but the person standing in the opposite corner will come as a surprise.
De La Hoya is currently in the midst of a promotional tour for the fight between Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia which is set to take place on April 20, and made an appearance on Ariel Helwani's MMA Hour to discuss Garcia's career so far.
One topic of discussion was a possible fight between Garcia and UFC bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley after the former expressed an interest in facing the MMA star.
De La Hoya was open to the idea and even mentioned a possible fight for himself in the co-main against UFC president Dana White.
"I would entertain because Ryan can fight in the main event with this kid and maybe I could do Dana on the co-main," De La Hoya said.
"I’m good, but it doesn’t mean we can’t go at it."
The upcoming fight on April 20 against Garcia will be Haney's first defence of his WBC super lightweight title after beating Regis Prograis last year.
