Paulie Malignaggi is confident that Tyson Fury beats Deontay Wilder for a second time.

Paulie Malignaggi is not giving Deontay Wilder a chance in his trilogy meeting with Tyson Fury on July 24th.

Wilder was overwhelmed in seven rounds when taking on Fury in February 2020 but the Alabama puncher is desperate to settle the score and he will have his opportunity this summer.

For the bulk of this year, it appeared that Fury was going to face fellow Brit, Anthony Joshua, in a huge unification clash but Wilder, along with an arbiter, derailed those plans and took advantage of his rematch clause.

Paulie Malignaggi, a former world champion and now one of boxing’s shrewdest pundits, predicts another straightforward night for Fury.

"I think Wilder is going to get absolutely eviscerated in the fight," said Malignaggi when speaking with The Schmo. "I think he’s going to get smoked to where he’s never actually going to be the same again because he took a bad beating the second time around.

"The first time around, I thought Fury outpointed him. The second time around, he took a bad beating, and that will usually change a lot of guys in general.”

Malignaggi continued "If you’re going to ask for that type of beating again, I don’t see where he’s going. Here’s the thing, Wilder doesn’t know how to fight going backwards. You’re not going to figure out a way to fight going backward.

"You’re not going to mentally and psychologically and physically change yourself to the point where you’re going to figure out how to fight this guy going backward. Fury will back you up."
