Raven Chapman feels she has earned her shot at a world title as she prepares to face off with Skye Nicolson on this weekend's Riyadh Season card, live on DAZN.
The pair will meet with the latter's WBC women's featherweight belt on the line, as the Briton bids to inflict a first career loss upon the Australian at the Kingdom Arena.
Chapman, who will fight on the undercard of Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol's undisputed light-heavyweight championship clash, has also gone unbeaten so far professionally.
Now, she has her chance after suggesting that she has been ready for it across her previous bouts, and is ready to lay down her bid for global glory.
"I’ve been deserving of an opportunity for the last few fights," she told DAZN's FACE OFF. "For me, it was about getting a world title.
"I’d say physically, it might not be my toughest fight, but Skye has a very good ring IQ."

Nicolson has proven herself one of the smartest boxers in the division since turning professional, and Chapman acknowledges she will need to have her wits about her.
"She’s tactical, she’s technical," she added. "Mentally, it will be one of the harder fights. Neither of us will be able to switch off."
