Tyson Fury's rematch with Oleksandr Usyk, live on DAZN Pay-Per-View, is now the most important in the Morecambe fighter's career.

Victory wins the WBA, WBC and WBO belts, revenges May's defeat to the same opponent, and, no doubt, sets up a trilogy fight.

Defeat leaves him a distance away from being called a world champion again, it could even mean retirement, and it will see some question his standing within the greats of the heavyweight division.

That sounds like a lot of pressure, not that Fury ever seems to show that bothers him. But will December 21 feel like a bigger moment, with more pressure, than his first ever professional fight?

Is that debut bout not the one that sets the tone of your career, sets the path to greatest or not, shapes the view of how others view you? That sounds like real pressure.

DAZN News turn back the clock and revisits where it all started for the Gypsy King.

With a record of 34-1-1 (24 wins by KO), Fury has been in the game for a long time. His first professional fight was back in 2008, and it was against Hungarian Béla Gyöngyösi.

Although Fury came into the fight with a good amateur record, this was his entry into the big time and a very convincing introduction it was as well.

It is almost 16 years to the day since that fight took place - who was Gyöngyösi and where is he now.

Who is Béla Gyöngyösi?

It is never great when you are best known because of somebody else, but that is exactly how it worked out for Gyöngyösi.

He is now best known for being Tyson Fury’s first opponent in professional boxing. A journeyman at best, Gyöngyösi ended his career with a record of 4-13-4.

At the time he fought Fury he was 3-9-2. A southpaw who stood 192cm tall, Gyöngyösi hailed from Hungary.

The fight

Their bout took place on December 6, 2008, at the Nottingham Arena in England. Gyöngyösi was not a small man, but Fury towered over him as they entered the ring and he duly dismantled Gyöngyösi with a first-round technical knockout.

The fight lasted just 2 minutes and 34 seconds. Such was Fury's power that he knocked Gyöngyösi down with a blow to the body and not the head.

It is probably fair to say that Gyöngyösi was not the toughest opponent Fury could have faced for an introduction to professional boxing, the Hungarian came into the bout having lost five of his previous six bouts.

What happened next?

After the fight with Fury, Gyöngyösi continued his boxing career, primarily competing in Hungary and surrounding European countries. However, he struggled to make a significant impact in the sport.

His professional record reflected a mix of wins and losses, with the Fury bout being the most notable moments.

After the Fury fight, he went on to fight six more times, winning just one of those, drawing two and losing three.

His last fight on record was in April 2016 as his largely unsuccessful boxing career came to an end, the highlight, undoubtedly as a footnote in history for being the man who faced Tyson Fury at the start of a legendary career.

For Fury it was the first demonstration of his attitude to all the professional bouts he would face in the future - pressure? What pressure? Usyk beware.
