One fighter is plotting a return.

Shane Mosley is set to step back into the boxing ring eight years after he last competed as a professional against David Avanesyan.

Mosley will appear on a show focused on celebrity boxing on September 28th at the Events Centre in Harrah’s Casino in Philadelphia.

In the opposite corner to Mosley will be well respected Philadelphia trainer, Bob Kofroth in a light-heavyweight exhibition under the Official Celebrity Boxing banner.

Also featuring on the show will be local rapper, Freeway, and Kimbo Slice Jr.

At the peak of his career, Mosley was one of boxing’s best fighters who ranked frequently on pound for pound lists.

His 2000 win over Oscar De La Hoya elevated his profile and he also shared the ring with Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquaio before retiring in 2016.
