Anthony Joshua still sits with Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury among the best heavyweights in the world, but Ricky Hatton thinks Daniel Dubois should be among their ranks too.
Joshua and Dubois meet in an all-British affair this weekend, with the pair poised to fight for the latter's IBF heavyweight title at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, live on DAZN.
It is the latest encounter for Joshua, who has rebuilt his reputation as one of the best fighters on the planet following back-to-back losses against Usyk.
But while his place among the modern pantheon seems assured, Hatton also believes that Dubois and Zhilei Zhang should be considered in at an exciting time for the division.
"You’ve got to say Oleksandr Usyk, Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua depending on what order you think," he told Action Network.
"Daniel Dubois deserves to be up there, Zhilei Zhang is very strong and heavy handed.
"There’s a few coming up at the back, but the heavyweight division is more open than from previous years. You had Mike Tyson then Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield
"But now we have six or seven heavyweights who could beat each other when one fighter used to stand out on their own. I don’t think that’s the case anymore."
