The British boxing legend may not be done with exhibitions just yet.

British boxing legend Ricky Hatton is keeping the door open when it comes to participating in exhibition fights.

Hatton made his first exhibition appearance in 2022 when he faced Marco Antonio Barrera and when reflecting on the contest, the Mancunian was taken aback by how much it inspired others to get into a healthy place both mentally and physically.

“If someone did come forward for an exhibition, I'd be a fool not to consider it because of what the last one with Marco did for me, and what it did for other people. It was pretty inspiring," Hatton told Instant Casino

"I inspired myself and others I think, getting into that sort of condition after being overweight, depressed and suicidal. I've put a few pounds on since the exhibition but I haven't gone back to the old big, big, big Ricky.

"The exhibition helped me mentally and physically. I've made a conscious effort to keep the weight off, it's about doing things that are positive now and looking after myself.”

Hatton has not made an exhibition appearance since that meeting with Barrera, but that does not mean he is done with these types of contests.

The former two-weight world champion expressed his interest in future exhibitions against four names in particular, two of those being former rivals of "The Hitman".

"If someone turned around and said do you want an exhibition and move around with a Marcos Maidana, Miguel Cotto, Floyd or Manny, if something got put to me and it tickled my fancy and I thought I could benefit from it then, yes," Hatton continued.

"I don't have many exhibitions left in me, sooner or later the party ends and you've got to hang them up; boxing, fighting, exhibitions, the lot, so while we're still in the position to do it, I'd certainly be a fool not to look at opportunities.”
