Ricky Hatton tells David Haye to "behave himself" regarding potential Tyson Fury fight

Ricky Hatton tells David Haye to "behave himself" regarding potential Tyson Fury fightDAZN
David Haye has set his sights on Tyson Fury following his recent comeback win.

Ricky Hatton has ridiculed suggestions that David Haye could face Tyson Fury. Haye, who was well beaten by Tony Bellew in his last meaningful contest three years ago, returned to the ring last weekend to outpoint Joe Fournier in a bout that resembled an exhibition.

In the contest’s immediate aftermath, Haye indicated that he would like to face Tyson Fury next year, nine years after their original rivalry cooled off. The two were set to meet twice but cuts and injuries suffered by Haye in the build-up to both fights eventually saw plans change. Hatton, a fighter who knows about ill-fated comebacks, believes the fight shouldn’t happen.

"These fighters feel great in the gym, but they don’t look great in the ring,” said Hatton in his latest Metro column.  “David Haye looks in superb condition, he is a pure athlete and there is no doubt he probably does feel good.”

“He fought Tony Bellew a good few years ago now and it was clear he was past his best. I don’t think anything has improved since he’s been out. Tyson Fury just destroyed Deontay Wilder with the best performance of his career. David, you need to behave yourself."
