It was a moment to forget in Australia.

There was a huge fight card in Perth, Australia on Saturday night when Vasiliy Lomachenko and George Kambosos went head-to-head for the vacant IBF lightweight title.

However, there was a moment to forget on the undercard when Britain's Nina Hughes lost her WBA women's bantamweight title to Cherneka Johnson.

It was a close contest between the two and it was one which went the full 10-round distance.

However, when ring announcer Dan Hennessey revealed the scores 98-92 and 96-94 to Johnson, and a draw, he wrongly named Hughes as the winner.

This sparked confusion in the ring with Hennessey having to correct the result and crown Johnson as the new WBA women's bantamweight champion.

Speaking after the fight, Hughes was left frustrated by this mishap and called for an immediate rematch.

"It’s a joke. I feel like I’ve been robbed big time," Hughes said.

"There’s got to be a rematch. I didn’t lose that fight.

"How can they announce I had won and then change the scores? I thought I’d dominated early. I thought she won a few of the later rounds but I felt like I won it comfortably."
