Robert Garcia has warned Vergil Ortiz Jr. against complacency as he eyes up Thomas Dulorme for their fight tonight.
The duo clash live on DAZN in a card headlined by Jose Ramirez vs. Rances Barthelemy.
Ortiz is unbeaten in 20 fights and has a 100% knockout run in his career so far, and is also expected to fight Tim Tszyu on August 3 as part of a huge Terence Crawford card.
However, a defeat against Dulorme would throw all of that into jeopardy, and Garcia does not want to put anything at risk.
“We have heard the same thing, like everybody else,” he told BoxingScene.com . “We are focused on Thomas Dulorme. We are not looking past Thomas Dulorme.
“Dulorme is an experienced fighter, he is awkward – it is going to be a good challenge.
“I know Vergil, and he is definitely one of the strongest fighters I have ever worked with. So that should be the big difference, but Dulorme is a very experienced fighter."
