Ryan Garcia has picked his top three fighters at 135lbs and there isn't room for Shakur Stevenson despite the Newark man’s recent win.
Stevenson impressed last weekend as he stopped Shuichiro Yoshino in six rounds to announce himself as a serious lightweight contender, but Garcia is adamant that his rival must do more.
Garcia faces Gervonta Davis later this month in a fight that’s being screened in multiple regions on DAZN.
The fight is taking place at a catchweight in between 135lbs and super-lightweight but that hasn’t stopped Garcia from still ranking himself as the best fighter in the world at lightweight with his imminent rival just behind him.
“Me one, Devin, Tank. I think Tank is two. I think it’s close between Tank and Devin at two. I don’t know,” said Ryan Garcia to Fight Hype when discussing his top three.
“I mean, Shakur is there, but he just hasn’t been here. He’s had one fight. I don’t know. He hasn’t done anything at 135 at all. He did do good against that guy. I didn’t get to watch it. I don’t know who watched his fight.”
