Adam Azim is aiming high and he’s targeting a huge fight with American superstar Ryan Garcia in 2024.
Azim, identified as one of British boxing’s best prospects, goes for European honours this Saturday when he faces France’s Franck Petitjean.
If successful, Azim should find himself with a lofty world ranking and there’s belief within some boxing circles that a world title shot could be up next year.
Like Azim, Garcia is also pursuing the sport’s biggest honours and if he’s successful against Oscar Duarte on December 2, he’ll very much be a target for Azim.
"You've got great names there, you've got Ryan Garcia," said Azim when speaking about the WBA ratings with Sky Sports.
“So, I'm among them. That's one fight down the line I'd like to take, probably get revenge for Luke Campbell as well.
"That would be great one day, to win a world title in America and hopefully beat him in America."
