Ryan Garcia has called on Gervonta Davis to face him later this year. The popular pair have provided many entertaining highlight reels during their careers and a blockbuster meeting between the pair is arguably one of the best fights that can be made in boxing.
First, Garcia must beat Javier Fortuna on July 16th, exclusively live on DAZN, but the ‘Tank’ fight holds huge appeal.
The Baltimore man’s next move is undecided as he sorts several issues relating to his managerial and promotional situation.
If he were to take on Davis before the end of this year, the Californian fighter has spoken about the size of the bout and the significant impact it can have on the victor moving forward.
“I want Tank Davis next, that is what I have said. I know that Tank is a big fighter and so am I. Whoever wins that fight is the next face of boxing,” said Garcia when speaking at a press conference to hype his next fight.
“I think of every possibility to make fights in boxing. Both parties can come to an agreement, they need to be fair to each other and to the fights. Don’t be greedy, be firm, be fair.”
