Ryan Garcia is expecting an empathic finish to his upcoming bout with Gervonta 'Tank' Davis and he’s insistent that he has plenty of ways to beat the Baltimore man.
The pair finally meet on April 22, live in multiple regions on DAZN, and the victor is expected to be installed as the new face of boxing with both men possessing huge followings.
Garcia, the slight betting underdog for the contest, has been nothing but confident in the approach to his imminent battle and that mood continued at the fighter’s recent workout.
Possessing an unbeaten record going into his biggest test so far, Garcia maintains that he’s the better fighter and it’ll be his power that makes the difference in the fight.
“It’s what I’ve been envisioning for so long now. It’s everything I wanted to beat Gervonta Davis and destroy him and everything he’s worked for because I know he’s trying to do that to me,” said Garcia when speaking to Premier Boxing Champions.
“I’m going to take him out. Nap time for Gervonta. I’m just going to be focused in the ring. First round, second round, any of the rounds, he can go to sleep. He’s going to have to be careful.”
