There could be a trilogy rematch on the cards.

Eddie Hearn believes that Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez’s biggest moneyspinner could be a fight against Gennadiy Golovkin.

The pair fought twice, in 2017 and the following year, as they contested two of the best middleweight bouts in recent memory, with Canelo ultimately coming out on top in the second fight.

Canelo became the first four-belt undisputed super middleweight champion when he beat Caleb Plant on November 6, and he has been linked with more fights at 168lbs, light heavyweight, and also dropping back down to middleweight.

Canelo is expected to fight next on Cinco de Mayo weekend, and Hearn - who has worked with the Mexican several times in recent years - believes that Golovkin offers the biggest financial reward.

Speaking to " target="_blank">IFL TV, Hearn said: “We’re going to go to him and say, ‘Here are our three or four options.’ PBC is going to say, ‘Here are our three or four options,’ and somebody else is probably going to put three or four options out there.

“He’s going to look at the deal and decide which one he wants to do. I think the GGG fight is going to be such a big fight, and there’s going to be an announcement about him very soon. He’s got a big unification fight coming up. The GGG versus Canelo fight is a massive fight and probably the biggest money fight out there for Canelo.

"But he’s got enough money. It’s not just about who pays the most money, and it’s got to be a fight that motivates him."
