The two former amateur rivals set to clash in Las Vegas.

Sergio Mora has praised Ryan Garcia for targeting Devin Haney for this next fight, and believes it's a clash that boxing fans are desperate to see.

Since beating Oscar Duarte in December, Garcia has been calling out Haney and he now has got his wish, and former amateur rivals will meet again in Las Vegas on 20 April live on DAZN.com

Talking on DAZN Boxing with Chris Mannix, Mora discussed the announcement of the fight and believes it's a smart fight for Garcia to take.

"It's the right move, and you got to give the kid a lot of credit," Mora said.

"He went from having one of the biggest fights of the year against [Gervonta] Tank Davis, then taking on a very tough opponent in Duarte, and then going back to a mega fight with Haney - who's been fighting the absolute best. He has a championship resume. But you've got to give it to Garcia, I give him a lot of credit.

"Is the smart move? Yes. He's going to make a lot of money, and we're in a sport where it's about making money, winning titles and fighting the very best. Ryan Garcia is doing two out of three of those, and he gets to fight for a world championship with Haney.

"Smart move, man. Win, lose or draw we have to give him credit for this fight and it's what fans want and there are two of the best at 140."
