Shakur Stevenson was in attendance Saturday night to witness George Kambosos vs. Maxi Hughes.
And when the judges' scorecards of 114-114, 115-113, and 117-111 were announced, giving Kambosos the controversial majority decision victory, Stevenson was shocked and disgusted.
While speaking with ESPN, Stevenson called the decision a "robbery," feeling that Hughes should have won.
He then shifted his attention directly toward the judges — not only those scoring the Kambosos-Hughes fight, but to all judges in boxing, period.
"I think that the judges should be held to a higher criteria," Stevenson further told ESPN. "They should be as focused as the boxers and I think they need a lot more to become a judge. I feel like they're not watching the fights and they're not really paying too much attention to the fights and it's messing up boxing."
The 117-111 scorecard was especially egregious.
