This year has seen some incredible super fights in boxing and there's still over four months left.
However, when speaking about mega bouts in the sweet science, Shakur Stevenson is noting one fight that he believes trumps all — and that's himself vs. Gervonta "Tank" Davis.
"It's only one fight that's really that," Stevenson began telling the 2nd Wind Podcast recently.
"Talking all-around boxing — Me and 'Tank' is the biggest fight. It's the biggest fight in the world.
"Like it's going to be the biggest boxing fight in the world when it happens."
The dream bout would pit two undefeated fighters in their prime — both possessing superb boxing ability.
Stevenson could see it happening at two different weight classes and relatively soon.
"135, 140 ... I could see it happening not too far in the future. I could see it happening," he tacked on.
"I think Tank will sign that contract and I'm going to sign the contract too."
Amidst the excitement of the anticipation, Stevenson just issues the following caveat to fans:
"It's a business. It's going to happen, though. It ain't no denying the fact that it's going to happen," he continued. "Fans be wanting it right now. It kind of takes some time to make that stuff happen.
"I think it's going to happen in the near future."
And when it does, boxing fans will surely be locked in.
