Shawn Porter explains Errol Spence's chances against Terence Crawford in a rematch

Shawn Porter explains Errol Spence's chances against Terence Crawford in a rematchDAZN
Could "The Truth" rebound?

Despite how Terence Crawford dominated Errol Spence Jr. this past weekend for undisputed welterweight glory, Shawn Porter is giving "The Truth" a chance to rebound in a possible rematch — under one condition.

Porter recently told TMZ Sports that a Crawford-Spence rematch would have to be at 154 pounds instead of the fighters remaining at 147.

"I’m an advocate for the rematch," Porter began explaining. "I believe wholeheartedly in Errol Spence Jr."

He added: "Errol Spence has the ability to make adjustments. He has the ability to come in stronger, especially at 154, and mentally he is so strong that I think that this is just a wrinkle on his career and he wants to fix that wrinkle."

What Porter describes as a "wrinkle," others might tout a dent, as Crawford dropped Spence three times — once in the second round, twice in the seventh — en-route to a riveting ninth-round TKO.

If Spence is to make successful adjustments for a possible rematch, that could very well entail overhauling his strategy, altogether.
