Carl Froch says Tyson Fury must continue to fight following his controversial win over Francis Ngannou last month.
Fury didn’t look himself throughout the bout as he was dropped by the novice, escaping with his unbeaten record via a controversial split decision victory.
Some figures within the boxing industry have spoken about Fury’s future and whether he’ll head into an undisputed battle with Oleksandr Usyk.
Fury has announced his retirement on numerous occasions in the past before returning to claim more glory, and Froch insists that the current WBC champion must keep boxing following the Ngannou performance.
“He can’t retire off the back of that fight with Ngannou. He just can’t,” said Froch when speaking on his YouTube channel.
“It would be like me retiring on the back of the first George Groves fight. Although I still think Howard Foster did the correct thing when he stopped the fight, the way it had been received, it felt like a loss.”
