Skye Nicolson expects the hardest fight of her career so far when she faces Raven Chapman as part of a history-making Riyadh Season bout, live on DAZN this weekend.
The Australian will defend her WBC women's featherweight title as part of a fight card headlined by Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol's undisputed light-heavyweight encounter.
Nicolson, who heads to Riyadh boasting an undefeated record since turning professional after the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, will be seeking a successful defence of her crown.
The 29-year-old offers a different style of approach to Briton Chapman, and believes she can draw her foe into her gameplan, while acknowledging she represents another level.
"I feel I’m a very skilful, technical, tactical operator," she told DAZN's FACE OFF. "I don’t really let people do what they want to do.
"Will this fight be different? We’ll see on October 12. I’m the world champion, and she’s a very worthy contender."
11.15pm | Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol | IBF, WBC, WBO and WBA light heavyweight titles |
10pm | Fabio Wardley vs. Frazer Clarke 2 | For Wardley's British heavyweight title |
9pm | Jai Opetaia vs. Jack Massey | For Opetaia's IBF cruiserweight title |
8pm | Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Kamil Szeremeta | Middleweight |
7pm | Skye Nicolson vs. Raven Chapman | For Nicolson's WBC women's featherweight title |
6pm | Ben Whittaker vs. Liam Cameron | Light heavyweight |

Nicolson has seldom appeared too troubled across her professional career to date, with some suggestions she is yet to fully show her hand in the ring.
The 29-year-old did not dismiss the idea entirely when asked, and concurred that she may have more to give when she faces an opponent like Chapman.
"I’ve trained for this fight like it’s the hardest fight of my life," she added. "I’m prepared to go into other gears if that’s what it comes to."
