Legendary boxing trainer and analyst Teddy Atlas was not impressed by Anthony Joshua's performance against Robert Helenius on Saturday night.
Joshua got his second win of 2023 this past weekend when a right hand knocked out Robert Helenius in round seven, which has now set up a showdown with former WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.
However, Joshua's performance was met with some criticism with the knockout blow coming after a slow start against an opponent who was brought in on a week's notice.
Now Atlas has had his say on the result and claims that Joshua is an 'overrated' fighter.
"Please all the great British fans out there, I love you, but don't give me a hard time Tuesday when I again remind you on my podcast that your man is overrated," Atlas wrote on X.
If a clash with Wilder is indeed next, it will be one of the biggest heavyweight fights in recent memory with the winner likely to take a step towards challenging for a world title once more.
