Terence Crawford and Shawn Porter set to do battle in November after purse bids cancelledDAZN
The welterweight rivals are finally getting it on.

Terence Crawford will defend his WBO welterweight title against Shawn Porter on November 20th, per reports.

Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports has been informed by a source at Top Rank that scheduled purse bids for the superb clash have been cancelled and that a deal has been agreed.

Porter, who pushed Errol Spence close in September 2019, will represent the toughest test of for Crawford at 147lbs. The rugged Ohioan has lost to Spence, Keith Thurman and Kell Brook but he was highly competitive in all bouts and can consider himself unfortunate to be on the losing end of all three.

Crawford’s run as welterweight champion has been obstructed by familiar politics with all his nearest rivals fighting under the PBC banner whilst the Nebraskan competes for Top Rank. A win over Porter, especially one more impressive than what Spence managed, would increase the demand for a showdown between Crawford and the Texan.
