Terence Crawford suggested Errol Spence Jr. had changed his tune when it came to a potential fight between the pair.
Spence has long been on Crawford’s wishlist, after the fight acknowledged the failure of Top Rank to get the match-up over the line.
“Bob [Arum] couldn’t secure me the [Errol] Spence fight when I was with him, so how is he gonna secure me the Spence fight when I’m not with him? I’m moving forward with my career,” he claimed.
Now that he is a free agent, he may try elsewhere to get the deal done.
Helping matters could be Spence’s apparent interest, with the IBF and WBC welterweight champion in attendance to see Crawford beat Shawn Porter.
Speaking after the fight, Crawford acknowledged his rival’s presence.
“He was at my fight?" Crawford said. "That boy said he wasn’t gonna never be at my fights, and now he’s at my fights. You see what I did compared to what he did.
“Who’s number one in the welterweight division now? I’ve been calling him out all day. Maybe I’ll go up to 154. Maybe if Spence gets his tail out of his butt, he’ll fight me.”
