Terence Crawford: Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez would defeat Errol Spence JrShowtime
Speaking to The DAZN Boxing Show, the WBO champion made the prediction.

Terence Crawford thinks that Errol Spence Jr. would lose should he face Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.

Spence Jr. was last set to face Manny Pacquiao in August but had to drop out of the fight at short notice due to an eye injury which required surgery.

There is no certainty about whether or when he will return to action, but Crawford discounted his chances against Canelo should he ever move up to 168lbs.

Speaking on the DAZN Boxing Show, Crawford said: “I don't think that would have been a good fight for Spence now cuz he's, he's right there. He's right there for Canelo.

“Canelo’s the bigger, stronger fighter, bigger puncher. And for Spence, to be right there in front of him trying to get down in front.

“You’re giving him everything [he wants].”

Crawford, though, who currently fights at 147lbs, fancies his chances against a fighter who would rival him for consideration as the pound-for-pound best. Asked if he could beat Canelo, he replied: “Who me? Yeah...”
