Terence Crawford still open to negotiating an Errol Spence fight despite collapseDAZN

WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford is still willing to negotiate an undisputed fight with Errol Spence Jr. for next year.

The two camps were close to agreeing a deal for what is a much desired fight, however, negotiations collapsed.

Crawford then took to Instagram to voice his frustrations earlier this month and blamed promoter Al Haymon for the reason why the fight couldn't be made.

The 35-year-old then told The DAZN Boxing Show that no one from Spence's camp is yet to reach out after his outburst.

"No, I expected it," Crawford responded when asked whether he was surprised that there was no response from anyone linked with the WBA, WBC and IBF welterweight champion.

"It’s something that was put out and I don’t believe that after expressing the truth they were going to be jumping and reaching out to me."

Crawford is now set to face David Avanesyan on December 10 under the BLK Prime promotional banner, but while this may not be the fight everyone wants, the WBO title holder is eager to make a fight with Spence at some point in 2023.

"He said he was going to circle the block, if he’s victorious in his fight and I’m victorious in my fight and he’s still about, I’m going to drop him off."
