Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence Jr. 2: Spence's trainer makes an early prediction

Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence Jr. 2: Spence's trainer makes an early predictionDAZN
Derrick James is confident "The Truth" can avenge his first pro loss.

Earlier this week, Showtime Sports president Stephen Espinoza maintained that Errol Spence Jr. still wants the rematch with Terence Crawford to avenge the ninth-round TKO loss that he suffered last month.

Well, Spence's trainer Derrick James is taking that a bit further. When asked by InsideFighting about whether Spence will get retribution and be victorious against Crawford in a rematch, James offered:

"I know he'll be [victorious]."

Why is James so confident?

"Different situation, different weight, everything," he continued.

Crawford has stated numerous times that he's fine with doing the rematch at 154 pounds instead of welterweight, where he's the undisputed world champion.

James added: "I think my guy's a better fighter altogether."

James also chalked up the loss to Crawford as a "bad day" for Spence.

"He's doing good. He's OK, man. Things happen. Life happens," he said, providing an update on Spence.

"Everybody wants to win all the time, some days are not your day and that wasn't his day."

That being said, although James feels like Spence "looked very off to me," he said that it doesn't take away from Crawford's dominating performance.
