The much-discussed welterweight battle between Terence Crawford and Shawn Porter is close to be resolved.
Crawford, the WBO champion, had been ordered by the governing body to defend his belt against Porter, the mandatory challenger.
With Crawford a Top Rank fighter and Porter doing his work on PBC, negotiations between both world class fighters have been lengthy.
The contest has been close to going to purse bids on a number of occasions but Bob Arum, the promoter of Crawford, believes a deal is imminent.
“We talked with PBC as late as yesterday, said Arum when speaking with ES News.
“It looks like Porter is on board, or close to on board. Hopefully Terence will be on board and we’ll announce the fight next week, hopefully.
"We want it in Vegas at the Mandalay Bay. We’re holding the arena for November 20.”
