With negotiations between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk currently at a standstill, what direction will the Ukrainian go next.
The two-weight world champion only has one target in mind with Tyson Fury his biggest challenge, but with that fight still not confirmed, the two-weight world champion may have to look elsewhere for his next battle.
At the moment, Usyk has three mandatory challengers he somehow has to appease.
Holding three world titles, Usyk is not short of opponents wanting to end his unbeaten run. Joe Joyce is WBO mandatory, Daniel Dubois holds the WBA 'regular' title, and Filip Hrgovic is at the top of the IBF rankings.
Out of those three potential challengers, it’s currently Daniel Dubois who stands the best chance of facing Usyk next.
Joe Joyce is already set to face Zhilei Zhang in April and the next move of Hrgovic is still unknown. With Usyk the WBA full champion, the Panamanian organisation would have no issue with Dubois stepping up and taking his shot.
