The WBC heavyweight champion disposed of that assertion quickly.

Eddie Hearn didn't waste time making a declaration in the moments that followed Anthony Joshua's devastating knockout of Francis Ngannou.

"You're looking at the baddest man on the planet right there," Hearn said live on DAZN pay-per-view, pointing toward Joshua in the ring in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Friday. "You're looking at the No. 1 heavyweight in the world."

Well, later on during the post-fight coverage, DAZN's Kate Adbo had a chance to run Hearn's assertion by Fury, who was seated ringside for the fight. The WBC heavyweight and lineal world champion quickly took that declaration and disposed of it.

"I'm sure that Oleksandr Usyk will have something to say about that, considering he beat him twice in the last few years ago," Fury said in reaction to Hearn tabbing AJ as No. 1.

"And me and Usyk have got an undisputed world heavyweight championship coming up," he added about their May 18 fight.

"[Joshua's] just done a show fight in Saudi Arabia, which is fantastic for the show, but for the actual, real boxing, it's me and Usyk who will fight for the No. 1 and No. 2 position in the undisputed championship of the world."
