'This was the best fighting the best': Terence Crawford makes a statement in stoppage win against Shawn PorterDAZN
The DAZN Boxing Show breaks down Terence Crawford's win against Shawn Porter last Saturday.

Terence Crawford's tenth-round stoppage win against Shawn Porter in Las Vegas last Saturday made a statement to the rest of the welterweight division and cemented the 34-year-old as one of the world's best pound-for-pound fighters.

While this contest wasn't the Errol Spence Jr. fight which boxing fans are craving, Crawford's clash with Porter delivered.

"This was the best fighting the best, I wouldn’t say it was a classic, but it was classic ending, it was something that was unexpected," Barak said when dissecting the fight on the latest episode of The DAZN Boxing Show

"It was a competitive fight and that was what you should have at this championship level.

"If you look at the judges’ scorecards, in the first seven rounds all three judges had the fight exactly the same, through the first six rounds it was even.

"Shawn had spots where he was on the inside, where he likes to be with him being a shorter and for some reason it worked. Crawford would shell up and let him work.

"That uppercut that hit Porter in the tenth round was the same punch Crawford was trying to land during the first and second rounds, it’s just that Shawn was always moving, but he finally got him in the tenth round."

Ak, who was ringside at  Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, labelled the fight a 'classic'.

"The reason why I call it a classic, Barak, is how competitive it was, I don’t agree with some people who say Shawn won the first four rounds," Ak stated.

"Crawford’s jab is something people aren’t talking about, once Terence established the jab it was very effective, it stopped Shawn coming in at times, when Bud didn’t want to work on the inside, he had him at bay.

"But I did notice towards the end of the seventh Terence began to take control of the fight, not complete control, but he was landing harder shots, he was beating him with speed, and I felt like the tide was shifting."
