Three possible opponents for Daniel Dubois after huge knockout win over Anthony Joshua

The world is the IBF heavyweight champion's oyster.

If he wasn't before, Daniel Dubois is now a major player in the heavyweight division.

The IBF heavyweight champion dispatched Anthony Joshua in the fifth round of their contest at Wembley Stadium in what was a huge moment in British boxing.

Joshua was a huge favourite going into this contest on the back of three successive knockout wins, but Dubois ripped up the rulebook and made easy work of the 2012 Olympic gold medallist.

The heavyweight division is an exciting one, and this performance from Dubois has thrown a cat amongst the pigeons, and DAZN takes a look at three opponents "Dynamite" could face in his next fight.

Joseph Parker

Joseph Parker was in attendance at Wembley on Saturday night for Dubois' win and he frequently expressed his desire to face the current IBF heavyweight champion.

Parker has been knocking on the door for a world title shot since back-to-back wins over Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang, and with three of the belts tied up for the upcoming Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury rematch on December 21, maybe Dubois is the best chance he has of attempting to become a two-time world champion and complete what has been an impressive career resurgence.

Unified champion Oleksandr Usyk already has one British rival to contend with in Tyson Fury when the pair meet in a rematch on December 21.

But if he comes through this second Fury fight with another win, maybe a rematch with Dubois for undisputed could be next in 2025.

Usyk and Dubois first met in August 2023 in Poland, and the latter gave a good account of himself until a controversial low blow in round five drained his confidence.

The Ukrainian then seized control and dominated the rest of the fight, eventually stopping Dubois in round nine. It may not be the most glamorous of undisputed heavyweight title fights, but it gives Dubois a chance to prove the doubters wrong once again.

It may be easy to say Tyson Fury next for Dubois, but all roads appear to be leading to the winner of Usyk vs. Fury 2 for undisputed.

If Fury is able to get revenge later this year, a clash with Dubois for all the belts in 2025 could be a relatively easy one to make with both men fighting under Frank Warren's promotional banner.

However, after sitting ringside for Dubois' brutal knockout win over Joshua, will he want to share the ring with a world champion whose confidence is sky high and is a force to be reckoned with?
