His statement victory opens up plenty of options for the former world champion.

Joseph Parker put the boxing world on notice with his sound unanimous decision victory over Deontay Wilder on Saturday night in Riyadh.

Not only did the upset win seemingly rip up the script for a projected Wilder-Anthony Joshua clash, but it instantly gave Parker intriguing options for his next opponents in 2024.

Here, DAZN examines three possible opponents for Parker in the New Year.

Anthony Joshua

If it was supposed to be Anthony Joshua vs. Deontay Wilder and Parker played spoiler to that, then at the very least, Joshua vs. Parker should be considered.

After Parker defeated Wilder Saturday, his team commented during the post-event press conference that they would like to see their man avenge his March 2018 unanimous decision loss to Joshua.

Both heavyweights have upped their games substantially since that fight, making the prospects of a rematch all the more exciting.

Andy Ruiz

Another name that Parker's camp evoked Saturday night was Andy Ruiz.

Like a possible bout against Joshua, a fight with Ruiz would serve up a rematch.

Parker handed Ruiz his first professional loss in December 2016, when he delivered a majority decision to be crowned the WBO heavyweight champion before eventually losing the strap to Joshua.

Since that meeting, Ruiz delivered one of boxing's biggest upsets ever by defeating Joshua in June 2019 to win the unified heavyweight world championship in thrilling fashion before losing the titles back to AJ in their rematch later that year.

Still, Parker vs. Ruiz II would pit two former world champs against each other in a test of sweet science skills and power.

Zhilei Zhang

The "Big Bang" is coming off a monstrous 2023, defeating Joe Joyce by knockout twice.

That's the same Joyce who last defeated Parker via an 11th-round KO in September 2022.

That backstory could create quite the buildup for a possible Parker vs. Zhang tilt.

Such a bout would test Parker's ability to use his razor-sharp boxing to evade the undeniable power game of Zhang.
