Tim Bradley and famed boxing trainer send message to Errol Spence about Terence Crawford rematch

Tim Bradley and famed boxing trainer send message to Errol Spence about Terence Crawford rematchDAZN
There's deep concern for "The Truth."

Errol Spence Jr. expressed initial intentions of activating the rematch clause for a second crack against Terence Crawford after suffering a damaging ninth-round TKO to “Bud” on Saturday night.

However, at least one former world champion and a famed boxing trainer are imploring “The Truth” to think twice about a rematch.

“If you want to come at 154 (pounds), the outcome is going to be the same,” Bradley warned Spence about moving up from welterweight to face Crawford again, while speaking with FightHype.com recently.

“I’m telling you this. Spence is who he is. Ain’t nothing going to change about you.

“You’re easy to read and you cannot be easy to read when you’re in the ring with a great fighter that can make adjustments and can read you like a book. It’s going to be worse the second time for you. Worse!”

He added: “I get it, you don’t want to go out like this, but you need to evaluate your health. You need to evaluate you getting back into the ring and the risk that comes along with that, especially with a fighter of Crawford’s nature.”

Bradley isn’t the only member of the boxing community to express deep concern about Spence entertaining and wanting a rematch with Crawford.

Famed boxing trainer Vergil Hunter pleaded with Spence to “give yourself time,” while speaking with Fight Hub TV. Hunter believes the combined effects between Spence’s scary single-vehicle accident in October 2019 and the loss to “Bud,” should trigger deep thought and not making any rash decisions.

“Errol, if you hear me — please cover all the bases, don’t look for that fight this year,” Hunter cautioned. “Please don’t skip no corners, don’t let pride get in the way of you living a long and productive and fruitful life.”

Crawford dropped Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) three times en route to the stoppage victory, handing "The Truth" his first pro loss.
