Keith Thurman will end a long spell of inactivity on March 30 when he jumps to 154lbs to take on Tim Tszyu.
Thurman, who enjoyed plenty of success at welterweight, will start the bout a significant underdog as he looks to become the first man to defeat the heavy-handed Australian.
Tszyu’s rise has been an impressive one so far and he has had his name linked to high profile fights against the likes of Terence Crawford and Jermell Charlo.
Keyshawn Davis, who recently stopped Jose Pedraza, will be watching the contest and he has given his backing to Tszyu despite being an admirer of Thurman.
“A fighter like me, I will always watch Keith Thurman because he knows how to promote himself and a fight, and you never know what he’s going to come with each and every fight,” said Davis when speaking to Fight Hub TV.
“But with this fight, Tszyu is a dog; he’s a young dog, and he’s motivated. I just feel like Keith Thurman is going to come to fight, but Tim Tszyu, he’s just different.”
