DAZN's Todd Grisham will be calling KSI vs. FaZe Temper this weekend, live on DAZN. We asked Grisham for his take on three possible big fights for KSI if he defeats FaZe and here's how he responded:
KSI vs. Jake Paul
As far as exposure, publicity, number of viewers, I think this fight would be the biggest fight you can make in boxing. If Jake Paul wins his next two fights or whatever and KSI does the same, if they fight toward the end of the year, I think that will be the biggest fight of the year. KSI sold out the O2 Arena, fighting two no-name guys in one night. He also sold out this weekend’s fight in London, his opponent changed last minute. Nobody’s even caring who he’s fighting. They’re just so enamored with KSI.
In the United States, I don’t think people realize how big of a star he is but in England, they’re well aware of it. I think as big of a star as Jake Paul is, combined with how big a star KSI is, the social media saturation that they have, Misfits and everyone surrounding them has, I just think there’d be so much publicity and so much heat that people who even don’t admit to watching it, will be watching it.
KSI vs. Slim
We’ve seen that Slim has legit skills. Of all the people in X Series, KSI appears to be the tip-top of the list as far as skills go in my opinion. And from what I’ve seen so far, Slim might be No. 2. They’re roughly the same weight class. Slim’s got a great personality, knows how to talk. KSI’s got a great personality, knows how to talk. I think it would just mesh well and I think he would be an actual test for KSI.
KSI vs. Tyron Woodley
It will be a good measuring stick first of all because people can see how well KSI does against Tyron Woodley compared to Jake Paul. And Jake Paul has been saying ‘Fight him, this is the guy you should fight,’ so Jake Paul has been pushing for it as well.
KSI, even though he won’t admit it, I think he still feels like ‘I need a little work.’ That’s why he hasn’t fought Jake Paul who has been doing this more seriously for longer than KSI has. So I think he realizes he has more catching up to do. I think the Tyron Woodley fight would give him a good idea at just how good he is. If KSI goes in there and can beat Tyron Woodley handily or even knock him out, then that would make the Jake Paul fight even bigger.
