Former WBC cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew is confident that Liam Smith will beat Chris Eubank Jr. when they meet in a rematch on Saturday night.
Smith's stoppage win over Eubank back in January was a surprise to some fans, but the Liverpudlian's dominant performance did not stop Eubank from activating a rematch clause.
Since that decision was made, the fight has been hit with numerous postponements, but now the pair will finally look to settle the score in Manchester this coming weekend.
Speaking to BettingSites about the contest, Bellew believes the rematch will have the same victor to the first encounter.
“I just think it will be a repeat of the first match but I don’t think he’ll knock him out this time," Bellew said.
"Liam’s from a fighting family, one of four and all of them have been fantastic fighters. They’ve done our city proud.”
Bellew then went onto list five reasons as to why Smith will emerge victorious at the AO Arena.
“I think Liam’s too clever, too strong and a better boxer.
"Liam has a better pedigree and is just a better all round boxer. He’s had to earn everything. He’s done it the hard way.”
