Tony Bellew has made it clear that he would be too big for Carl Froch if the former sparring partners ever shared a ring together.
Bellew retired in 2018, four years after Froch, but his name, like Froch’s, is often linked to a comeback.
In recent months, the pair have engaged in some light debate when Bellew has been a guest on Froch's YouTube show.
The Nottingham man has demonstrated some confidence when predicting a potential fight with Bellew, but those beliefs have now been shot down by the former cruiserweight world champion.
“I love Carl Froch but him saying that he'd beat me is absolutely ridiculous - absolutely not, no,” said Bellew when speaking to BoyleSports - who provide the latest boxing betting.
“I'm too big, too strong and he knows that. But I love Carl, he's my mate, so I don't really want to be doing that, but he needs to know.”
