Tony Bellew is certain that Tyson Fury wants no part of Oleksandr Usyk as the championship scene at heavyweight continues to frustrate.
Fury and Usyk had been locked in talks for a number of weeks looking to secure an undisputed heavyweight title clash for April 29, but the discussions ended up collapsing leaving both men looking for alternative opponents.
As it stands, it appears that Usyk is heading towards a fight with Daniel Dubois with the WBA calling for the pair to begin negotiations.
Fury is still without an opponent for his next fight but a summer showdown with Joe Joyce could be one option.
Bellew, a keen student of the heavyweight division, believes that Fury doesn't want to engage with his former cruiserweight rival and insists he could now face Anthony Joshua.
“The path is clear now for both because let’s be totally honest, Tyson Fury doesn’t want to face Oleksandr Usyk,” said Bellew when speaking on The DAZN Boxing Show.
