Tony Bellew has labelled Tyson Fury as the world’s best heavyweight following his thrilling win over Deontay Wilder last weekend. Fury got up off the canvas twice to stop Wilder in the fight’s penultimate rounds and the result further enhanced his position at the top of the heavyweight rankings.

Following on from Oleksandr Usyk’s impressive result over Anthony Joshua, Fury’s success has put even more spotlight on the heavyweight division. With Dillian Whyte set to face Otto Wallin at the end of this month, exclusively live on DAZN, 2022 could deliver heavyweight boxing one of its most entertaining years. With plenty vying for the top spot, Bellew has no doubts who is the best.

“There's no question at this moment in time that he is the best heavyweight in the world,” said Bellew when speaking on The DAZN Boxing Show.

“You've just got to hold your hands up and say Tyson Fury is the man to beat."

“Some of them knockdowns were seriously heavy. I mean the one when he walks into a clean right hand, you see it shudder through his whole body and he's very fortunate that it didn't catch him on the chin and catches him on the forehead."

"He's the best heavyweight in the world and there's no question about it right now.”
